A Unique Firm With Unique Beginnings
Pelican Wealth Advisors LLC is a Registered Investment Advisor Firm . We specialize in applying risk management expertise to retirement income and legacy planning.
Dr. Frank’s background is in engineering and higher education, not typical for a financial advisor, which is an advantage because of his natural analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
Another reason we are unique is that we are completely independent of any large or small broker/dealer relationship. We are a fee-based asset management firm which aligns our compensation with your financial goals in a “win-win” relationship. This is not the case with the typical Wall Street broker/client relationship. Often, while working with brokers, clients don’t know what their fees are!
With over 25 years in the corporate world and 10 years as head of risk management with one of the largest corporations in the world, Dr. Frank’s sole purpose was protecting the company from many financial risks.
Personal Experience Led to the Birth of Pelican Wealth Advisors
It was during his career that he had his first negative experience as a client of a well-known brokerage firm. The 2000 “dot-com” market meltdown caused Dr. Frank to lose money while the firm that worked for him continued to earn large fees. This experience led him to start his own financial advisor firm, leverage his expertise in risk management, and find independent solutions for his own clients.
